Making with a Mission
In January of 2020, Makers Social opened it's doors proud to be the first DIY Project Bar in Columbus, Ohio. Two months later, COVID forced us to shut down to help Ohio deal with pandemic. During the shutdowns, our owner Megan focused her built-up creative energy on finding a way to cope with a stay at home order affecting her friends, family and loved ones.
I saw (and felt) the detrimental impact "the new normal" of isolating at home had on mental health. My goal with creating these at-home projects was to bring the Makers Social mission straight to your home.. serving art therapy, joy and quality time with loved ones through the excitement of making a new project.
Makers Social, located at Franklinton’s brand new River & Rich development, is an interactive bar experience where locals can choose from dozens of awesome DIY crafting projects while enjoying themed cocktails like “Moscow Tools” and, you guessed it, “Screwdrivers”.

Most household candles are made with paraffin wax, a chemically bleached petroleum waste product.
